hay all.
Well the UK election debates kicked off last night with all three main parties fighting bitterly for televised supremacy. If you've not watched the debate, check it out at:

I'm guessing no one will object to this being put up as its in the public domain now anyways. So anyone have any reactions or expectations of what is to come?

I just don't think the tories are going to do it. I saw some interesting news before I left the UK last week and they said that they needed a very big swing to win it and it doesn't look like they will get it because they have to beat more than one party.

The majority of people seem to think Nick Clegg did well, but I don't think he did. People think Labour have been soft on crime, and he was proposing being softer. He referred to audience members by name but that was tactical. He started the debate negatively, moaning about the other parties instead of publicising his own.

David Cameron on the other hand, was the best of the leaders. He gave good examples of criminals not getting long enough sentences and how the government wastes money. He was the most positive in his closing statement. It was by far the best closing statement.

I was able to judge the candidates objectively as I will not be voting for any of the three major parties.
